About Us
Bishop Build was established by Bill Bishop, a Boston native who honed his skills working in his father’s commercial construction business. Over the years, Bill managed various projects and led multiple commercial developments throughout New England. His passion for remodeling old homes was ignited when he renovated a Victorian house for his family.
After numerous renovation projects and enduring the harsh Northeast winters, Bill and his family moved to the ideal climate of San Diego. Starting anew wasn't easy, but a single advertisement in the La Jolla Light Newspaper led to a major remodel in La Jolla, effectively launching Bishop Build - Design and Construction Services. That was 30 years ago, and it was the last ad Bill ever needed to place.
Since then, Bishop Build has grown, building and remodeling homes in La Jolla, Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Leucadia, and beyond. All of their business has come through referrals, a testament to the quality work they deliver at affordable prices.
Bishop Build is a licensed and insured general contractor in California, holding license number 859818.
